The Academy mission is guided by a conceptual framework based on 5 essential components: Teaching, Research, Awards, Interprofessional education, and Networking (TRAIN).     

Teaching:  Improving the quality of teaching and supervision

Research: Promoting educational research and scholarship

Awards:  Identifying and celebrating faculty members who excel in teaching, mentoring, educational research, or other educational areas

Interprofessional education:  Ensuring faculty have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to teach and supervise trainees to work on interprofessional healthcare teams

Networking:  Establishing a sense of support and community among faculty members
